Nauyaca is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Costa Rica and should be a stop on anyone’s list when visiting Costa Rica’s central pacific coast. Our Nauyaca tour includes a nice hike to the top tier of this epic 150 ft waterfall which will then be rewarded with a refreshing swim in the pool beneath the lower falls. We’ll also hop on a tractor ride up to our lunch spot to recharge after enjoying the falls.

Trip Overview
Our tour begins with an hour ride to Nauyaca, once there we will take a tractor down to the waterfall, all while learning about the area’s flora and fauna on the way.
On our hike you will be rewarded with swimming, jumping, and the stunning vistas of the Nauyaca Waterfall. This waterfall consists of 2 tiers, the bottom fall is ideal for swimming and jumping. The bottom tier is about 75 ft. The upper waterfall stands about 150 ft tall. Both have swimming holes and areas to explore.
Before heading back to town, we will hop on a tractor ride to the restaurant where we’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch.
Good to Know
Please advise us of any health conditions, recent injuries (especially back, neck or shoulder surgeries) or medical procedures that could affect your tour experience. Let us know about pregnancy, back pains, and any walking as well as dietary restrictions or preferences.
We have two rules at Paddle 9: 1) Be safe! and 2) Have serious fun! Paddle 9 prides itself in running safe tours and transport with the best logistics and safety procedures in the industry. Our guides and staff are well-trained in emergency situations and take your safety very seriously. Should an accident occur, we are covered by a comprehensive umbrella liability insurance policy.

Expert & Knowledgeable guides led us on an Epic Waterfall Tour This is a spectacular tour of gorgeous waterfalls with opportunities to do some jumps and slides if you are up for it. The guides, Cory & Ismael, were top notch. They are safety oriented. I would never have done the jumps & slides without their expert guidance. They also are very knowledgeable about Nature & Costa Rica and shared many fun facts with us on our journey. We also had lunch at a Tilapia Farm that was absolutely scrumptious- one of the best meals I have had in Costa Rica. At the end of the day, we visited a gorgeous beach. The ocean was wonderful and really put me in the mood to kick back & relax in Costa Rica.

Full day waterfall tour This was mine and my husbands first trip to Costa Rica and we decided to do the waterfall tour! Corry and Ismael were hands down the best tour guides!!!
